Makeover peach upside-down cake

Quick baking recipes always come in handy for me. Peach upside down cake is my absolute favorite. I learned to bake it as a child and continue to make it with enviable regularity. It is a favorite of our family and everyone we know. Simple and very homemade.

Ingredients

  • Butter  150 g (room temperature)
  • Brown sugar  130 g
  • Peach  3 pc (medium size)
  • Sugar  190 g
  • Egg  1 pc
  • Vanilla extract  1 tbsp
  • Flour  320 g
  • Baking powder  1 tbsp
  • Salt  2 g
  • Milk  125 ml

Preheat the oven to 365°F (180°C).

Melt 50 gr of butter. Grease the whole mold with the butter.
Pour brown sugar over the butter, but if you don't have any, plain white sugar is fine.

Arrange the peaches beautifully on the sugar.

Beat the remaining butter with the sugar.
Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix everything together. Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the milk and stir to combine. The dough should be smooth and homogeneous.

Gently pour the batter over the lined peaches and smooth over the surface.

Bake for approximately 45-50 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden stick in several places in the center. The pie will bake faster on the edges, so it is important that the center is also baked, otherwise the pie will be underbaked and sag.
Remove from oven and let stand for about 10-15 minutes.
