In a blender or food processor, combine the canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and blend until smooth.
In a saucepan, combine the chipotle puree, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
