Cooking Instructions!
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
Heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan until the butter melts. Let it cool slightly.
Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough to release the air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces.
Flatten each dough piece and place a slice of ham and a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
Place the filled buns on a greased baking sheet. Cover them with a clean towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
