- Pork ribs (approximately 25 cm) — 4 pcs.
- Lemons — 2 pcs.
- Onion — 2 pcs.
- Olive oil — 4 tbsp.
- Tomato ketchup — 4 tbsp.
- Worcestershire sauce — 4 tbsp.
- Ground mustard — 1 tbsp.
- Chili powder — 1 tsp.
- Honey — 1 tbsp.
- Fresh thyme leaves — 2 tbsp.
- Salt — 1 tsp.
- Ground black pepper — 2 tsp.
Step by step recipe
How to cook Texas-style ribs:
- Place the ribs in a pot of salted water with sliced lemons. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook the ribs for 40 minutes.
- Mix all other ingredients in a blender until smooth. Remove ribs with a slotted spoon and place them in a colander to drain excess liquid. Coat the ribs in the prepared sauce, cool and marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour.
- Preheat the barbecue and grill the ribs over medium heat for 30 minutes, turning often and basting with the marinade. Transfer the ribs to a plate and let rest in a warm place for 5 minutes.
