Refreshing homemade lemonade (non alcoholic)
I offer three recipes for refreshing homemade lemonade made with lemon and orange, lime and ginger, strawberries and rhubarb, with mint or basil. Try making the concentrated syrups and then dilute them with sparkling or still water.
Ingredients
- Soda water βΒ 1000 ml
- Sugar βΒ 100 g
- Water βΒ 120 ml
- Orange βΒ 2 pc
- Lemon βΒ 1 pc

Prepare caramel syrup. Peel the zest off half a lemon and one orange.
Squeeze the juice out of all the fruits and add the zest.
Put sugar in a pot with a thick bottom. Melt it over low heat to caramel state.
At the same time, bring the juice to a boil and pour it into the caramel. Cook for 7 minutes until the caramel is dissolved. Strain if desired.
Mix sugar with water. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Add ginger and zest. Cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Add honey, lime (or lemon) juice. Strain.
Choose which syrup you like the most. Increase the amount of ingredients, make more syrup, put it in the fridge, or buy a siphon or a package of carbonated water, dilute and drink at your leisure.
