Cooking Instructions!
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the cold unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the bowl. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to rub the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, heavy cream, and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together. Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
Using a sharp knife or a biscuit cutter, cut the dough into 8 equal wedges. Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
Brush the tops of the scones with maple syrup and sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and allow the scones to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm and enjoy!
