Cooking Instructions!
Peel and dice the kiwi and pineapple into small pieces.
In a large saucepan, combine the diced fruit, sugar, and lemon juice. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the fruit to release its juices.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If adding extra flavor, stir in the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Once the jam has thickened and the fruit is soft, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Carefully transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4-inch (0.6 cm) headspace. Seal the jars tightly.
Allow the jars to cool at room temperature for a few hours before refrigerating them. The jam will continue to thicken as it cools.
Enjoy your homemade Kiwi Pineapple Jam spread on toast or as a delicious topping!
