Cooking Instructions!
To make the BBQ sauce, in a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, liquid smoke, and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Drain and rinse the canned jackfruit. Using your fingers or a fork, shred the jackfruit to resemble pulled pork.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the shredded jackfruit to the skillet with the onions. Pour the BBQ sauce over the jackfruit and onions, stirring to coat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half and place them on a baking sheet. Toast the buns in the oven for 5 minutes, or until slightly crispy.
Assemble the sliders by placing a generous amount of the BBQ pulled jackfruit mixture on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with a pickle slice and cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve the BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Sliders warm and enjoy!
